<p>TODAY</p><p>THE WORLD OF READING FESTIVAL</p><p>takes place in Barnett Family Park in Lakeland. Upon arrival, each child will receive a passport that lets them visit different "worlds," and take part in an arts and crafts event related to that particular world. The Junior League of Greater Lakeland event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., free admission.</p><p>"A SEPARATION"</p><p>screens at the Polk Theatre in Lakeland. Simin (Leila Hatami) wants to leave Iran with her daughter. Simin's husband, Nader (Peyman Moadi), insists on staying at home in Tehran to care for his frail and elderly father. Admission is $7 adults, $5 students/seniors, $4 children.</p><p>AN EASTER EGG HUNT</p><p>begins about 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Lake Morton, Lakeland.</p><p>THE LOG & TIMBER HOME SHOW</p><p>takes place at The Lakeland Center's Exhibit Hall this weekend. It opens at 10 a.m. today and Sunday. Cost is $15 adults, children younger than 18 free with paid adult. Active and retired military personnel and family free (limit two adults) with appropriate ID.</p><p>"THREE TALL WOMEN"</p><p>is a Stage Read held at Lake Mirror Center and performed by Lakeland Community Theatre. The Edward Albee drama is about a woman reflecting on her life. For mature audiences. Show time is 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 adults, $8 students with ID; 603-PLAY.</p><p>"FAME"</p><p>is performed by George Jenkins High School students. Show times are 2:30, 7:30 p.m. today and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 for students and Jenkins faculty, $10 all others. The show is performed at the school.</p><p>TOM NIELSON</p><p>is in concert at 7:30 p.m. Admission is adults $12, students $7 at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lakeland, 3140 Troy Ave. 646-1972.</p><p>"ANGEL STREET"</p><p>is presented by Florida Southern College's Vagabonds. The drama is about a man who is slowly driving his wife to the brink of insanity with an insinuating kindness that masks more sinister motives. The show is presented in the Loca Lee Buckner Theatre at 7:30 p.m. today and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $18 adults, $9 students. FSC students are free; 680-4296.</p><p>THE JOY MAKERS FUN TIME BAND</p><p>presents a Grand Ole Opry tribute at 4 p.m. This is a free concert. Spaghetti dinner follows the concert for $6 and proceeds benefit church pantry. The site is Trinity United Methodist Church, Winter Haven. 259-7015.</p><p>A BEEPING EASTER EGG HUNT</p><p>for blind and visually impaired toddlers and young children begins at 11 a.m., and is free. The site is Lighthouse for the Blind, Winter Haven.</p><p>MUSTANGS & MUSTANGS</p><p>takes place at Fantasy of Flight in Auburndale. It is the 15th annual spring car and vintage airplane show. Fantasy of Flight general admission is required to attend this event. Parking is $5.</p><p>PRO HYDROPLANE BOAT RACES</p><p>are planned for this weekend in Winter Haven. The Race for the Kids Foundation event benefits Citrus Center Boys & Girls Clubs of Winter Haven, Lake Wales and Haines City. There will be racing, food and beer vendors and pet adoptions by The Humane Society of Polk County. Cost is $5 for Saturday or Sunday, or $8 for a weekend pass. The site is Lake Cannon, by Boys & Girls Club.</p><p>"THE BIG GUNS: OR, WHOSE LITTLE LILY IS SHE?"</p><p>wraps up its run Sunday at Lake Wales Little Theatre. The show is a comic valentine to the cowboy and cowgirl heroes of bygone screen, radio and television. Show times are 7:30 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $14 adults, $10 children. Theater is located at 411 Third St. N., Lake Wales. Tickets are on sale at the door.</p><p>SPRING THING!</p><p>includes children's activities, antiques dealers, arts and crafts, entertainment, bounce house, Plant City Fresh Market, more. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McCall Park, downtown Plant City, and the Train Depot Welcome Center. Free admission.</p><p> </p><p>SUNDAY</p><p>THE LAKELAND CHORAL SOCIETY</p><p>presents "Glorious!" a concert of chorus, organ and brass choir, featuring the "Gloria" of John Rutter. Larry Sledge is director. It begins at 3 p.m. Admission is $15 adults, $5 students at First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland.</p><p>THE POLK COUNTY BRIDAL EXHIBIT AND MARKETPLACE</p><p>is held from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Lakeland Center's Sikes Hall. Admission is $8 at the door.</p><p>THE DETROIT TIGERS</p><p>play a spring training game against Houston at 1:05 p.m. Tickets prices vary.
